Jeremiah Rowland's Civil War Record



Within three months time of joining the Confederate Army, Jeremiah Rowland was killed at Port Hudson, Louisiana. This is the only record that is available of his service.

I read this with interest as my great-great grandfather was also at Port Hudson. He was Col. David Provence of the 16th Arkansas Infantry. He was a prisoner-of-war for several months following the fall of Post Hudson.
